Hi friends, we are Robert (Scott) & Mellisa Pendleton. Blessed with 4 kids, 4 dogs, & 1 big fat bearded dragon. We moved onto our North Carolina land in November 2020 and are beginning our farming journey with 60 acres of land. You can read all about how we acquired this stunning place here, but let me tell you a little more about us.
HOW WE MET
Scott & I met when I was just starting nursing school back in 2006. I was a single mom of 2 and as cliche as it sounds, I knew he was the one. That story is a whole blog post, but we knew from the beginning of our marriage, we wanted something different. Land, farm animals, room to breathe, we wanted it all.
Months turned into years, and by the time we looked, it had been 12 years of marriage. This land is long awaited, prayed for, dreamed of, and happened at the most God-divined timing.
DREAMS
Our goal is to first provide our own family with pastured raised meat, eggs (duck & chicken), vegetables, and know where our food is coming from. The ultimate goal is to provide yours with the same. Slow and steady we will transform this land into something magical. Full of life, organic matter, and hard work.
OUR TROOP
As a type this, Kailyn is 21, Ryder is 15, Jackson is 10, & Ella is 8. They are the light of our lives and yes, drive us to the brink of insanity often. We have 4 dogs (yes, 4 lol). Nala & Piper are Golden Retrievers, Atlas is our rescue, and Loki is our German Shepard. Hopefully one day I get all of us in one image.
